Who are we?

What is PowersportsConnect?

PowersportsConnect is an online community that brings powersports equipment owners and manufacturers together to help create the products that enthusiasts want to buy. 

Functionally, PowersportsConnect is a partnership between Clarity Research and the manufacturers of various types of powersports equipment (motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, side-by-side utility vehicles, personal watercraft, snowmobiles, and mountain bikes).  We work with the manufacturers to help them understand how to best meet their customers’ needs.  One of the ways we do that is through the members of the PowersportsConnect online research panel.  The surveys completed by PowersportsConnect members provide valuable feedback to the manufacturers at all stages of the design and development process for new products.

Who runs PowersportsConnect?

Clarity Research, a marketing research company located in Brevard, North Carolina and Rochester Hills, Michigan. We specialize in conducting survey research studies with consumers. We operate the PowersportsConnect online community. 

Who sees my answers to survey questions?

Clarity Research partners with companies in a handful of industries: motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), personal watercraft (PWCs), and utility vehicles.  We share our findings with different manufacturers of these types of equipment. An important point, however, is that these manufacturers never see individual responses to questions, or individual names attached to the answers. Our results are reported in aggregate - you will never be identified in any way.

Becoming a Member of PowersportsConnect

Who is eligible to be a member of PowersportsConnect?

The PowersportsConnect online community is open to U.S. residents who are owners of late-model (2002 and newer) powersports equipment of all types – Motorcycles, ATV’s, Personal Watercraft, Snowmobiles and Utility Vehicles.

How do I sign up?

You sign up to become a member of PowersportsConnect by going to our Sign Up page and filling out the registration form.  Once you do that you will receive an email invitation to join.  Clicking on the link in the email will take you to a short profile questionnaire where you will tell us some information about yourself, as well as the powersports equipment that you own.

How often will you send me surveys?

You will be asked to participate in a survey approximately once a month. If you own several powersports products you may be asked to participate a little more frequently.

What will the surveys be like?

Most often we will ask you to complete relatively short (2-10 minute) online surveys about all things related to powersports.  Sometimes the surveys might take a little longer.  You may be asked to take part in other activities - such as online forums and focus groups, small-group online chats with designers and engineers, and even on-site research events where you evaluate actual prototypes in a location near where you live.

Can friends join PowersportsConnect?

If you have friends that own their own powersports equipment they can join PowersportsConnect.  Simply direct them to the website http://www.powersportsconnect.net and they can sign up and register. They must be U.S. residents to participate. 

Privacy

What personal information will PowersportsConnect need?

We only collect a minimal amount of personal information.  Name, age, gender, email address, mailing address and phone number.  This information will be kept strictly confidential.

Why does PowersportsConnect need this personal information?

Some of the information we need as contact information for you.  The rest we use to analyze differences between the answers of groups of people, split by age or gender, for example.

Managing Your Powersportsconnect.net Membership

How do I change the information my profile?

By logging into your account and clicking on the “Edit My Profile” link you can change you email address or update the information we have on the powersports equipment you own (if you buy something new).

How do I unsubscribe from PowersportsConnect?

You can log in to your account and click on the “Unsubscribe” link, or you can click on the “Unsubscribe” link located at the end of any email we send to you.
